So I had a great Christmas, but I must share with you the best part of all...Christmas Eve and the reason my niece Amy is going to need therapy by age 6..
Scene: It's a lovely Christmas Eve night at my sister Jen's house. My brother Jared and Wife Lindsey as well as The Brenton and I have finished having a wonderful Christmas story read to us by Wesley
The kids got to open their new Christmas PJ's and so they rushed off down the hall to go put them on so we could see how amazing they looked in them.
I am not sure how many kids made it back to the living room to show us, but we did notice that both Dad and Amy were missing. And here follows the rest of the story:
Dad: (Mad tone) Amy, you better straighten up or Santa won't come
At this point I am thinking that she was asked to do something, and in true Amy stubbornness decides that she doesn't want to..so again
Dad: (A little louder Mad Tone) You better act up right or I am going to tell Santa not to leave you anything
Amy: (Breaks into the slow but loud cry as she realizes her Christmas Fate)
Dad: (He means business tone) AMY!! I am leaving Santa a letter and I am going to tell him not to leave you any toys!
Amy: (More Crying)
Dad:
Dear Santa,
Please do not leave Amy any toys this year she has been naughty and does not deserve any toys...."
US: Laughing, a lot...we look over at my sister Jen who just rolls her eyes, then gets up to go see what is going on...
2 min later:
Jen walks in with Amy in arms, (who has a smirk on her face..mind you she is 4 but is no dummy)
turns out her High School Musical PJ's were more RED than PINK and she didn't want RED... (hence the screaming father)
So Poor Amy, doesn't like red pj's and will probably need a good shrink when she is older because she can't figure out why Christmas Eve brings pain!

Merry Christmas
Merry Christmas to everyone, and to your families too! I hope being good all year long paid off and you get that one thing you were wishing for, and if not....well better luck next year!
For those California readers who are without a white Christmas, I send some snow your way! Enjoy your blue skies and green grass!
For the Utah readers and east coast readers, stay inside, it's COLD! We should think about moving to California!
Merry Christmas to All, and to all a good night!

Guess What's Cookin'
Okay so here we have it, the official count down until The Brenton and I find out if we are having a Nina or a Nino (for those who are white, I said little girl or little boy...continue reading)
We have a scheduled appointment for January 21st at 9:15am to find out what I have been cookin' in here the last 14 weeks and 4 days!
So here are the rules it's pretty difficult, all you have to do is guess what it is that I am having, Choose boy or girl...(P.S. Lindsey you cannot guess that it's a dinosaur like we originally thought... it's been proven it's just a baby!) then I will update the list of girls vs. boys
Okay so there you have it my official guess is that I am having a boy so there is one for the boys team!
Boys Team:Jazz, Aunt Cathy, Jeri, Aubry, Krista. Sean, Aby, Stephanie
Girls Team: Emily D., Sharen, Emily F., Auntie Kaitlan, Auntie Lindsey
Auntie Mer can't decide she says one of each...even though we have proof there is only 1!

Just remember it's all worth it!
Fact: Jazmine has a work Christmas Party on Thursday
Fact: It's in Salt Lake, and Fancy
Fact: Jazmine does NOT have a fancy dress to wear to said party on THURSDAY
Tonight we are on our second try of looking for the perfect dress, we hit Macy's and find a couple, I don't love them, but they can be backups I guess
**I am still wondering why are all the designers doing their dresses above the knee?? HELLO IT'S WINTER! And if they think that I am going to do the short dress with black tights underneath, well...I'm not!
Oh forgot....Fact: Jazmine's body is growing, whether it's due to the fact that there is a baby growing, or for other food related reasons... no matter what, the body (mainly the mid section) is growing..
So being in Macy's I feel that all the skinny people are watching me, why I am I there they say in their secret skinny code glares...so I say FINE and go to the Motherhood Maternity store to see what is there....
and of course everyone there looks down at my stomach to see if I belong there...and okay No I am not exploding from my stomach, but can't a girl shop for things she will need in a month or two?? Very judgmental pregnant people!
So I find myself in clothes limbo! I wonder if I can dress up a pair of sweatpants with some heels??

Good Morning
Just a little something for my California People:
It was 23 degrees when I got into my car this morning!!!! Twenty what? You ask, yes 23, and at one place it went to 21 degrees!
What does 21 degrees feel like?? Well....cold!! I have learned that the California jacket a.k.a the Sweatshirt, is not sufficient enough to work out here, it does NOTHING...so you must have a jacket, a good jacket!
So there you have it, December 5th..no snow but it's 23 degrees...I would really like to be back in Sacramento right now!

Blogging, my way of not finishing my Final
Yes, I know I should be doing my final (that I haven't started) and it's important (because it's due tomorrow) but still, I just don't wanna.
I have blog stalked, looked on my usual websites, facebook-ed, check my email about 4 times and no one has sent me anything new....so I guess the only thing left to do is create blog post so I don't have to do my work!
Today's post is really titled: My dog ate my rent check
Scene: I am drying my hair this morning and Chloe comes over to the door chomping on something. She only does this when she is eating something that she is not supposed to, it's like her way of showing me that she is causing trouble!
I already know to go and look for clues of what it could be that she has eaten, she has been known to pull of loaves of bread, cookies, and pot holders. So I walk into the kitchen, nothing, it's clean.
I look by the computer, and there is a piece of paper on the ground, I pick it up, and yes it's the envelope that I had just placed our rent check in maybe 10 min earlier. The only thing left of the check was the corner where my signature was!
I was so angry, because WHO EATS A RENT CHECK?? I fed her breakfast, do I know she is not hungry! I think she is doing it just to be a jerk. So I told her (yes I really did out loud) that I hope she has a hard time digesting it!
Sorry Apt people, my dog ate my rent! (luckily I just wrote another check out, but think about if that was our last check, then I would have just given them Chloe!)

Dear Makers....
Dear Creators of the Royal Dansk Cookie Tin:
My name is Jazmine and I would just like to take a minute to thank you for the wonderful gift that you have given to me, your cookie tin!
This tin has been a part of my life since I was a wee girl! When I see a tin in my home, I just know that it is officially the Christmas season. It brings me joy and happiness to know that inside are yummy sugary cookies waiting for me. I want to personally thank the person who invented the multiple layered tin, just when you think your cookie is gone, just take the paper out, there is more inside!! Brilliant!~
So thank you to all for this fantastic cookie! I am eating them now as I write to you!! Keep up the good work!
Sincerely,
Jazmine, my pants are probably not going to fit by January, Livingston!
P.S If you could make a whole tin out of the sugary pretzel looking cookie, I think it would be a big seller!

PEANUT
If you can't see it, I will help you along. The baby is the white blob (a very cute blob) in the middle of the dark almost circle in the middle. Imagine peanut standing up, but because its head is 1/2 the size of it's body, the head is drooping down, so his eyes are looking down. Peanut's little arm is jabbing my side but it looks like it's coming out of his/her head, He/she is a lefty!

Our First Thanksgiving, we better like Pie this year!
My title is based off of the fact that since I have been blessed with child, that "we" have not enjoyed sweets. It's a shame really, sugar just isn't my thing. I know it's not a bad thing, but come on...THANKSGIVING is on Thursday, and I like Pie! So, I am giving my little bundle of joy a pep talk, and making sure he/she understands what is at stake here!
In other news, we had our first ultrasound this last week, and it is by far the coolest experience, the Dr. (who is AMAZING by the way) was just doing her thing, and giving me all of these instructions and do's and don'ts of pregnancy, and while I was trying to keep up with her, I look over and all of the sudden there is our little peanut on the big screen. I figured I should get used to seeing him/her on the screen since I am going to push my child through hollywood! :)
Other than that, things are great. We get sick or tired ever so often, but usually not at the same time, and if we do, then peanut has been gracious enough to let it happen on a Saturday, so I can lounge!
P.S. I would like to give a shout out to my fantastic hubbin Brenton. He has been so wonderful with all of my random crying, being sick, having to cook dinner because I now refuse to..food = eww gross, he takes the dog out on walks when I am too tired/sick to. And he is so dang cute when he gets all excited about being a dad. I am very blessed to have a great supportive husband! So..thank you sugar!
(Right now Blogger image is not working, so I will try to add my pic, later today! )
Have a great Monday everyone!
We are 11 weeks and going strong!

The Beginning
Well thank you to all who are so excited for us, we too are very excited!
We are planning for our little bundle of joy to arrive around June 13th-ish. And for those of you trying to do the math, that means I am only 8 1/2 weeks along.
(Gasp) I know, it's before the first 3 months, but seriously I was never good at keeping secrets anyway!
And for those of you who are wondering...YES Brenton is the father!
As for "how I am doing"...well lets just say I know some ladies who spent most of their time in the Ladies room home or away...I have found that I have a super power, where I feel fantastic the whole day. That is until I walk through my door (or run) and then all bets are off.
I think it's just a mental thing, and I vow to be able to stop it!
What I don't get about being Pregnant is: Why is my body not letting me sleep at night? I get that you don't sleep when you are huge and your back hurts, and your stomach is about to explode...but I have a pinto bean inside of me...what the????

I laughed outloud!
Okay so I live on the West side of Sandy. The other day I was driving on the East side of Sandy. I pass a school that I have passed many times before but this time I noticed something that I had never noticed before.
If you read the sign it says JORDAN Beetdiggers
Then I read it over and over again until it finally sank it...their mascot is a Beetdigger? I laughed out loud as I passed by.
So that got me thinking...what does a Mascot Beetdigger look like? Well Here is their Logo...
it hasn't given me much of an ideal..and I looked over their website, no sign of a mascot pic anywhere....
so there you have it...the Jordan Beetdiggers....do they grow beets here??

Catching Up
Okay so really I don't have much to blog about at this time. So I will do a friendly catch up to those who are new to my story!!
I am living in Sandy Utah, which is 15 min South from Salt Lake and 30 North from Orem!
I live in a 1 bedroom apartment where at first I thought it was fun and exciting being a newly wed couple, but now we are running out of space! I need a back yard...and so does Chloe, right now we are playing fetch in our living room which consists of me throwing the ball 10 feet away into a giant dog pillow for her to get! Sad :(
I like to go for walks with my dog, however having a golf course right next to you tends to make you feel like a sitting duck. It's always a scary feeling when you find golf balls on the other side of the road, very very very far away from the hole they were aiming for! I consider wearing a helmet sometimes!
My Brenton and I have been married for 2 years and 2 months. We have created this really odd language that we speak to each other...it's not so much mushy lovey dovey stuff...but it's a mixture of the weird words that my nieces and nephews say and then add them to our vocabulary. So basically we talk like 3 year olds! It's really embarrassing when we forget where we are and talk like that in front of others, you just can't come back from saying "Sank Yu" instead of Thank You!

Don't worry about the huge Hurricane IKE slamming Texas!
Love that this is what we have as "Featured News"
All the media on her hair?? Really? I guess she will just have to cry on the shoulder her hot stud of a husband DAVID BECKHAM!
Hello!! I give a big Grrr shout out to the UK!
In Other news: I have successfully ruined 3 attempts at cooking dinner in the last weeks period! Yes 3! But in other good news...Brenton can fit comfortably in his work pants again, so there is a rainbow after all!

Define a Blogger Friend
So I just had a random thought come to my mind...this after I spent the last 30 min, possibly longer, being a Peeping Tom and looking through blogs of people that I know ** and then look on their Friends List. (Don't judge, you have all done it!!)
How well should I know someone before I add them to my "Friend's Blog" list?
**Know: People that I once knew from a distance, not like I was invited to their b-day party or anything. Or people that I was close to, but lost touch with and now it's awkward

What to Blog? What to Blog??
I think it's the saddest thing that I have nothing to blog about, and it's been two weeks since my last post, sorry everyone who saw the same video day after day.
I had finished Summer Term on the 4th and this week I'm gearing up to start Fall, so I took a mental vacation in between!! All I have to say is, WHO INVENTED SCHOOL???? And who decided to make it FOUR YEARS LONG! (In this case 12 for Brenton and I??)
Well the best thing that did happen was...drum roll....We survived two years of marriage on the 5th!! Thanks for all the prayers mom! And Mama Jeana, I apologize for corrupting your son into the stubborn smart mouth that he is :) !!!!

Best Laugh All Week!!!
Okay so this is by far the best laugh that I have had all week...thanks to my mom for showing me this.
What you need to know before watching it:
The Partridge Family was a 70's T.V. show about a family that was their own rock band. Foxy Teen Idol David Cassidy is the lead vocal, while his mother is the back up singer. Now there are about 3 main kids who actually play a big roll in the show, and there are two younger ones that are there for filler. One of those kids in particular played the tambourine, and the directors didn't really show her how to play it well, or even on beat for most of the filming....and now you may watch the show!!

Welcome Chloe
Our Family has grown! Welcome Chloe to our family! She is a 2 1/2 year old full grown Lab Retriever Mix. And she already ignores me and listens to Brenton....I fear for our children!

Sorry Crystal!
Okay so here is a very long and complexed story, BUT if you stick with it, you won't be sorry!
Background:
I have a gigantic scar on my left bicep, it's HUGE. I received this lovely scar by riding bikes at my friends house in lovely Penryn, CA when I was a wee girl. My friend and I were riding the bikes, and her brother was chasing us on a riding lawnmower (may I remind you we are country folk..this is just what you do when you're not old enough to drive). Okay so I am on my friend's bike. I start going down the hill, when I realize...I Don't know where the brakes are!!" I thought they were on the handles, but they were on the peddles....or is it the other way around??? I don't remember..all I remember was that the brakes were not where I thought they were. So the outcome of that was me stuck to some lovely old barbwire fence! I know...that stuff is everywhere in Penryn....so I do a inventory of my body making sure all is in tact when I find this huge gash on my left arm...which resulted in 12 stitches and a Tetanus shot!
Fast forward about 18 years:
So yesterday I am walking out of my office getting ready to go pick up the man from work. I see a few co-workers out testing a new scooter, as one of them bought her very own brand new scooter. It was so cute, white and just so precious. So I am standing there admiring the bike, as it is being ridden up and down the isle of the parking lot. They ask me if I want to try it, I declined. I had a huge water bottle that I was chugging all day, and I had to use the little girls room. I feared just the mere excitement of riding that zippy scooter would cause an accident. Again, I was asked, and I am not sure if at that time I declined or accepted, but the next thing I remember was that my friend was taking my things out of my hand and I was sitting on the bike.
I was shown how to make the scooter go...and I was OFF...LITERALLY Off, I was so surprised for whatever reason and I totally froze! I had no idea where the brakes where (again) I couldn't stop this thing...and I BARRELED into a pile of bushes....oh yes I am thinking, " oh great I am up on a curb with bushes I am going to stop" NO I plow through these bushes and really the only thing I remember was falling to the ground. Now the three in the parking lot are laughing...I even think one was on the ground laughing...or maybe it was just me on the ground. So they run over. I am fine and we pick up the bike and it looks fine. I was so embarrassed and horrified that I totally 4 wheeled my friends brand new scooter. There was the question, "have you ever been on these before" and my response was "NO, but you would think that I would have been smart enough to drive one of these bad boys!" Then we hear the air starting to come out of the back tire!
Oh yes, the tire was taken off the rim and became utterly and totally completely flat!!! The look on my friends face, well it was total shock! I just apologized over and over and she was just as positive as could be. She kept asking me if I was okay...and physically yes I was fine, nothing was cut, bruised or broken...that is except my ego!
After a bit I get in the car and drive off...leaving the mess I had made in the parking lot. I called my husband, who the very day before was talking to me about buying such a scooter. So I tell him what happens, and he says of course, "Are you okay?" followed then by, "So what do you think about the scooter?" I told him I had about 3 seconds of driving it, and it ended very badly, So, I don't have good things to say about them! I am pretty sure that night all I heard from him was, "Don't worry honey, when we get ours, I'll make sure you know how to drive it before you get on!" So helpful that husband of mine is! Oh I also heard...."honey if we need to we can buy her a new bike, and then repair this one! So we can have a scooter too!" Again, so wonderful and positive!
So today is the day after, I am set to go fix my horrible mess, but my darling of a friend is already on it, and it's in the shop hopefully getting fixed! So she has already blogged about this wonderful moment in life, so when I get her blog, I'll link it so you can read her version!!
Lesson Learned:
So the scar on my arm really has meaning now to me, it is a constant reminder to ask, "Hey where are the brakes" 2nd Lesson Learned: Scooters are not for Jazmine, cars and quads are..but scooters...nahh Sorry Crystal!

What's in a Name?
My favorite thing to do when I am having to sit still and be quiet for long periods at a time (okay think church) is think about what I am going to name our kids. No I am NOT PREGNANT, but I like to be prepared for things. (and also if I am not doing that I am very disruptive and Brenton gets angry...true story)
Well actually it's more like me sitting there thinking what nicknames I am going to call them. That is very important, because nicknames can stick forever whether they are gOOd or bAd!
Now growing up, my family came up with some pretty scaring nick names for me (and so help me if any of you post those names) but my little brother Jake, well at one point we called him...Nu Nu Muk Muk (sorry Jake) ...I have no idea why.
Okay so group participation....who has a really good nick name from their childhood, or know of a real good one????

An old Family Favorite
This song cracks me up! My sister Jamie learned how to play it YEARS ago, and we've been singing it at every family function, right after I mean Jon

Chicago
I have a strange attraction to "Big City Life"...I think it's from all of those movies that I watch, but really, I love the idea of living in a big city. Last week I went and saw my new Favorite Big City, Chicago!!
This is one of those dinner cruises that you could take and go up the river into the city. We went on a speed boat tour which I thought was pretty fun. The tour guide was a 20 something with almost a sense of humor... but just enough boring to cancel out anything funny.
Gorgeous huh??!!! We were out on a boat when the sun set behind the city and you saw the city light up. It was a romantic night that I got to spend...with my coworkers!! Ha, love you all who were there, but the Brenton was needed!
This is a shot from our boat tour as we left the Navy Pier. The Navy Pier is a combination of Fisherman's Wharf + Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk (for you California Readers)
I think I pretty much had a "Big City" experience.

- Walking almost everywhere I went...check
- Crazy people watching....check
- Almost dying in a cab....check
- Being asked to jump in some drunk guys limo...check
- Movie starring hot men...check check!!!!
This was the scene just the street up from my hotel! A dozen or so old fashion cars, and a guy holding a camera! They were filming a movie...My Cab driver was less than happy, but when I found out it was a JOHNNY DEPP film, I quickly forgave any inconvenience and extra $2 that I had to pay the cabby for the time. No I didn't see Johnny, but two co-workers stayed up until about 2am and stood about 30 feet away from the hot stud! I also heard that my other favorite leading man, Christian Bale is in this movie! Two hot babes in the city with me...

My Crazy Family
My family likes to think of themselves as two things. 1. Funny and 2.Creative.....so when we get together someone goes around with a camera and takes random pictures of every one's face. (We are missing 3 in here) So help me, there are plenty of blackmail pictures out there to haunt us for the rest of our lives!!
P.S.....There is still one more brother to get married, and whoever that future lady is...I just want to you take a long good look at your future in-laws and really think about this!
(In case anyone was questioning, this contains 2 sisters, 3 brothers, two sister in laws, two brother in laws and a billion grand kids & one mother of the crazy bunch. We are missing one sister, her husband and baby girl..way to show family love Sartains!)

Pilates
So I went to my Pilates class tonight, and when I leave there I wonder how did anyone get the idea to torture your body in such a way that it will actually make you skinny?? Tonight we used one of those big rubber balls that are all the rage in the work out scene. Who said, "Okay so push-ups are good, now lets get an over sized kickball, lay on our stomachs and do push-ups!" and then who was the guy that said, "That is a great idea!!" ???? Anyway, I guess it works because those muscles that are meant to stay dormant....are now hurting, so hooray for weird movement to work out my "Core"
.
And an update for those to know if my arm was butchered once again from the Red Cross the answer is....NO!! I know it's a good thing! And it really helps the fact that I didn't even get to the part where they poke my arm with a huge needle. They pricked my finger and that is as far as I could go...my blasted iron is low yet again. It's a mystery with that iron of mine. The red cross has rejected me more then the boys in high school! Okay well I will work on that iron and give it another try in a few weeks. Brenton on the other hand did great. He donated for the second time! He's a giver, and he's saving someones life. I on the other hand just sat there and ate the cookies and juice provided!
